ESME'S MAN-ICURE CHALLENGE
Meet Esme, an inspiring 9-year-old girl who was diagnosed with leukaemia in early 2021 and is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Within a few weeks of her cancer treatment, Esme decided
to set up pamper sessions on the ward. Esme’s dad, Richard, would do anything to see his little girl smile,
so one day he agreed to let his daughter give him a manicure too.
Of course, she chose the brightest shade in her collection!
Finding this extremely amusing, Esme instructed Richard to keep his nail paint on for a whole week. In fact, Richard has been proudly wearing nail paint ever since!
This inspired Esme to take her fun pamper sessions a step further. And so Esme’s Man-icure Challenge was born. Dad, Richard, set up a JustGiving page for the challenge, while Esme reached out to her friends and family to paint their dad’s nails too, and to donate to the cause in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity which has supported Esme’s family since her diagnosis.
As of August 2021, Esme has raised more than £11,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer and her Man-icure Challenge has really taken off.

After hearing about Esme’s Man-icure Challenge, the Barry M team were incredibly inspired. We knew we wanted to get involved to help raise as much awareness as possible amongst other Nail Paint afficionados.

We are proudly donating £3.33 (100% of net revenue*) from every Esme’s Deep Marine Nail Paint sold from 9th August to 31st March 2022 to Young Lives vs Cancer, helping support even more families during the toughest times.
