National Give Something Away Day
On the 15th of July, it’s National Give Something Away Day!
In the spirit of doing nice things for others, we wanted to take a moment to appreciate all the wonderful charities we’ve worked with in recent years.
The People’s Trust for Endangered Species
In 2021, we launched three new WILDLIFE® Eyeshadow Palettes, with 20% of Net Profits from each palette sold donated to to PTES.

PTES works to ensure a future for endangered species in the UK and throughout the world. The charity protects some of our most threatened wildlife species and habitats, and provides practical conservation support through research, grants, educational programmes and wildlife surveys.
The Eve Appeal
We feel so lucky this May to have worked on Get Lippy with gynaecological cancer charity The Eve Appeal. We helped raise funds for life-saving research into the prevention and earlier diagnosis of all five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vagina. These cancers affect 21,000 women and people with gynae organs each year in the UK and yet 1 in 3 can’t name a single one. We gave 10% of all full price Lip product sales from BarryM.com to The Eve Appeal in May.
Young Lives vs Cancer - Esme's Man-icure Challenge
Esme, an exceptionally inspirational 9-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in early 2021, led us to help “Esme’s Mani-cure” campaign last year with Young Lives vs Cancer. After the first few weeks of receiving treatment, she decided to set up pamper sessions on the ward, and her lovely Dad, Richard, even consented to letting Esme give him a manicure. Esme instructed him to keep this bold and bright Nail Paint on for an entire week, and he’s been wearing it proudly ever since. Richard set up a Just Giving page for ‘Esme’s Mani-cure Challenge’ in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer, and as of August 2021 they raised more than £11,000. After hearing about the challenge, all of us at Barry M felt incredible inspired, so together with Esme and Richard, we designed a limited edition Nail Paint in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer, named Esme’s Deep Marine. We're proudly donating 100% of net revenue* for every Esme’s Deep Marine Nail Paint sold to Young Lives vs Cancer, helping support even more families during the toughest of times.
Akt
This year for Pride month we partnered with Akt, the national LGBTQ+ Charity supporting youth homelessness or youth living in hostile environments. 24% of young homeless people are part of the LGBTQ+ community and coming out or being outed is unfortunately a huge leading factor into this. Akt help LGBTQ+ young people find safe homes, and can support with things like employment, education and training, in an environment that celebrates LGBTQ+ identities. We released our Full Of Pride Nail Paint Gift Set this June, with six bright and bold colours in every shade of the rainbow to create all of the different looks you could imagine. 20% of all Net Profits from the Full Of Pride Nail Paint Gift Set sales will be donated to Akt.
CoppaFeel!
Last but definitely not least, we’re so honoured to have worked with CoppaFeel! for Breast Cancer Awareness. CoppaFeel! was founded in 2009 by Kristin Hallenga and her twin sister Maren after Kris was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23. After finding a lump at 22, Kris was told the news that she had incurable breast cancer. Kris was unaware that breast cancer could affect people in their twenties, and it struck her that there was very little information out there for young people. Although Kris will always live with cancer, she wanted to get the message out there to young people that catching cancer early means you have a higher chance of surviving and recovering.
CoppaFeel! Have a Self-Checkout Tool where you can learn all about what to be looking for when checking your breasts! In October of 2021, we donated 10% of net profits sitewide for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, helping the charity to educate young people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we are so lucky to have worked with some of the best charities out there, and can’t wait to do even more to help others in the future. Happy National Give Something Away Day – what are you going to do for someone else today?
P.S. GIVEAWAY ALERT! Head over to our Instagram on the 14th of July for a giveaway launch, in line with the spirit of doing something nice for someone else!
